How Can We Help?
About the MDD
No, it operates independently. While the MDD works closely with the City of Rogers, it is a separate entity with its own board of directors and operates under Texas state law as a special purpose district focused on economic development.
The Rogers Municipal Development District exists to promote economic development, improve infrastructure, and enhance the quality of life for Rogers residents. We work on projects that attract businesses, create jobs, and make Rogers a better place to live and work.
Finance & Funding
The MDD receives funds through a portion of the sales tax. This dedicated funding source allows us to invest in economic development projects without relying on property taxes or other city revenues.
MDD funds are invested in projects that promote economic growth, including infrastructure improvements, business incentives, community amenities like 1881 Eats, and marketing efforts to attract new businesses and visitors to Rogers.
Meetings & Participation
Absolutely. We encourage citizens to join us. We hold meetings on the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Civic Center next to City Hall. All meetings are open to the public, and we welcome community input on our projects and initiatives.
There are several ways to get involved: attend our monthly meetings, provide public comments during meetings, volunteer for MDD events and projects, or apply for board positions when vacancies occur. Contact us to learn more about current opportunities.
Projects & Development
Recent projects include the 1881 Eats food truck lot, infrastructure improvements, and various economic development initiatives. For a complete list of current and past projects, please visit our Projects page or attend a monthly meeting for updates.
Projects are selected based on their potential economic impact, community benefit, and alignment with our strategic plan. The board considers public input, feasibility studies, and available funding when making decisions. Community members can propose projects during public comment periods at our meetings.
